In 1889, LT Piver dreamed of the Orient (REVE D’OR(IENT) as did the whole of the West at this time whilst they played out their thoughts on the countries of the East. Flaubert had written “Salammbo” whilst Delacroix’s paintings depicted the women of Algiers.
